Although
thunder showers were promised and the sky darkened, the
rain never did appear last Wednesday, July 2nd. Even so,
the Strawberry Fields concert, the first in The Common
Ground of Sayville’s summer series for 2009, was brought
indoors to the Suffolk County Community College –
Sayville annex’ auditorium. It seemed that the entire
community gathered to hear the music, and say “Hello” to
neighbors. The music was extraordinarily Beatles’ fare and the crowd, fans. Thanks go to Legislator Bill Lindsay for sponsoring this show which, as you can see here, was a huge success! See you each Wednesday evening for the summer series and Friday evenings for Family Friday events at The Common Ground! |
